During a question‑and‑answer portion, staff addressed common concerns about program capacity, switching and supports. Peter Orstrander said students may be offered admission to multiple programs but must choose one because the four‑year pathways are too robust to combine. "No," he said when asked if a student can be enrolled in more than one regional program at a time; "you have to choose the one you want to attend." He also said the district will provide supports for students who struggle before any decision is made to remove them from a pathway.
On program exits, Orstrander said students who change their minds can return to their home high school the following year or remain in general programming if the home school hosts that pathway. He stressed a supportive approach: "If a student wanted to be in the program, we're gonna find a way for that student to be successful." The presentation also reminded families that middle‑college programs and dual‑enrollment options will continue to exist, with certain middle‑college sites aimed at an associate degree over four years.
