Region 6 schools: what each home high school will offer under MCPS’s regional plan

He listed Region 6 specifics: Seneca Valley will host theater, dance, IB and cybersecurity and serve as a career hub; Clarksburg will offer medical science (biomedical), pharmacy technician training and a child development program and hosts ACES with Montgomery College; Damascus includes automotive and horticulture offerings; Poolesville emphasizes engineering and AP Capstone; Northwest includes visual arts, graphic design and biotechnology.
Orstrander noted some schools host unique supports such as conflict‑resolution centers, George B. Thomas weekend programs and social‑emotional hubs. The presentation underscored that the regional model adds optional, concentrated pathways while preserving local programs and student supports.
