MRV Bear Initiative ramps up outreach; BearSaver receptacles to be deployed

Laura Arnesen of the MRV Recreation District provided a CRV update from the July 22 MRV Bear Initiative meeting. The commission reviewed suggested website updates (including Vermont Fish & Wildlife and Coverts links) and approved purchasing a 1/4-page Valley Reporter nonprofit ad for the fall; Andy Phelan and Janet Bisbee will work on the ad design.
The minutes record two BearSaver receptacles being delivered in the last week of July to Andy Phelan’s home, with Bridge Street identified as a first-choice placement and other sites under consideration. Tabling for MRVBI outreach is scheduled for July 26, Aug. 9, and Sept. 13.
