Fayston DRB schedules site visit after neighbors raise driveway visibility and safety concerns

Board members discussed alternatives (shared driveway, relocating driveways, or earthwork to improve sightlines). Gunnar McCain said the team could investigate moving the driveway to create a shared access and perform earthwork to improve visibility but noted some constraints — for example, Dorothy McGann’s existing driveway and possible steep grades. The board agreed to a site visit on April 1 at 5:00 p.m. to observe the driveways and sightlines; Jason Wilson reminded members that the visit is observational only and not a time for testimony.
The hearing was continued to allow the board to evaluate sightlines in person and for the applicant to produce revised plans addressing driveway placement and erosion controls.
