Mecklenburg County names Environmental Services building for Rusty Razzell

Mecklenburg County has renamed its Environmental Services Building at the Louisa facility on Suttle Avenue in honor of Rusty Razzell, a longtime county water-quality program manager, county public information staff said.

"Mecklenburg County has renamed its Environmental Services Building in honor of Rusty Razzell, a dedicated public servant who worked to preserve our waterways," said Suzette Nedridge of the county's public information department. Nedridge said Rusty Razzell worked for the county for 45 years and that his passion for the environment was "legendary." The county noted he passed away last year.
