Manager Sean Gelden reported a collapsed sewer segment on 4th Street that crews are addressing and said loan documents for the town’s large water project have been signed and pushed through the bond bank; the town should be able to draw those funds within days. Gelden also said he submitted a $250,000 Bond Bank grant application to replace the water plant’s aging filter system and noted the plant’s filters are about 43 years old and need replacement.
Gelden told the board the planning commission has approved a PUD and historic zoning changes; the Selectboard will need to hold a hearing to ratify those zoning amendments. No final ratification occurred during the meeting; the manager indicated next steps and hearings will be scheduled.
