Committee weighs two vs three playgrounds; accessibility requirements highlighted

A school official (Speaker 12) noted Stratfield Elementary’s model—separate pre‑K, K–2 and 3–5 playgrounds—and said the district is updating playground surfacing across schools to improve accessibility. Presenter and committee members emphasized that a PCR/state review will require detailed accessible‑route drawings and that some apparatuses cannot be 100% accessible but should provide transfer points and accessible surfacing where feasible.
