The Board of Commissioners approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to submit a BRIC application through the Cabinet for Economic Development for up to $323,747.25 to acquire a generator for the city’s water treatment plant.
Staff member read the resolution and specified the application amount as $323,747.25. During follow-up questions a committee member asked whether the completed work at Limestone Street would provide four pumps; staff and an Agency official explained there are four spaces for pumps and that the city will have four pump positions (four pumps/four motors) when the line is complete and a replacement pump will be kept ready if needed.
The resolution was moved, seconded and approved by unanimous roll call.
