Mayor authorized to apply for KOHS grant to upgrade police building security

Staff member read the resolution, which specifies that for KOHS-funded projects in FY2026 the city will follow KRS 45A procurement rules and obtain three quotes for any equipment or services under $40,000. Committee member described the planned investments as "updating cameras, security cameras, and the access points to certain areas...the FOB system." Agency official added that the work covers electronic locks and cameras around the police department.
The motion to adopt the resolution was moved, seconded and carried by unanimous roll call.
