On Sept. 9 the Labette County USD 506 board moved into executive session twice to discuss an individual employee’s performance under the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA). The first session began at 8:05 p.m. for 30 minutes; the board later moved to extend executive session by 40 minutes beginning at 8:40 p.m.
Dr. Kolette Smith made the motion to enter executive session and Justin Bebb seconded. After the closed sessions the board resumed open meeting and the transcript records that no action was taken as a result of the executive session.
