Superintendent Becky Bell updated the board on school activities and compliance items. She reported that students who went to Waldron Island for Apple Day placed first in several categories (heaviest, largest girth, weirdest) and placed in others, and that school photos were taken that day. Bell also said the district had submitted required water samples for lead and copper testing due in October 2025 and that results were not yet available.
Bell reported that an emergency‑systems report was completed and said she responded "no" to most questions about what systems the district currently has in place; she will look into a grant program to help districts update and achieve compliance with state requirements. Bell also noted the first community member lunch with students occurred that day and included a tour of Joe Town.
