Superintendent Becky Bell reported the district had arranged speech screenings for all students that day with Next Level Speech Therapy and said she was preparing a personal services contract with counselor Brian Krembs; funding for that contract will come as a flow-through from San Juan County. Bell also noted WSRMP is offering training on law changes and that school nurse funding would be available from the NWESD Nurse Corps.
The board heard these items during the Superintendent's report as part of the School Improvement Plan for 2025–26, which includes increased community involvement such as inviting one community member per week to join students for lunch. The superintendent framed these steps as aimed at expanding student supports and ensuring compliance with recent training requirements.
