Henry County approves rezoning request for RV/boat storage at Fairystone Park Highway

Lee Clark, Director of Planning, Zoning & Inspection, described the R-26-11 application by Bobby C. Taylor for a portion of roughly 5.676 acres shown on Tax Map 15.8/121. Clark said the applicant requests rezoning from Suburban Residential (S-R) to Commercial District B-1 for the purpose of constructing RV and boat storage units.
Chairman Adams opened the public hearing; no one spoke. On a motion by Mr. Pruitt and seconded by Mr. Dillard the Board approved the rezoning request by unanimous vote. The planning staff record indicates the property is located in the Blackberry District and will be marketed for commercial storage uses upon rezoning.
