Board schedules July 28 public hearing on proposed zoning ordinance amendments

Lee Clark, Director of Planning, Zoning & Inspection, told the Board the Planning Commission met and reviewed proposed zoning-ordinance amendments and recommended adoption after holding a public hearing with no comments on April 15. Clark said staff developed the draft amendments following a February 11 work session with the Planning Commission.
On a motion by Mr. Pruitt and seconded by Mr. Dillard, the Board scheduled a public hearing for July 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to receive public comment on the proposed zoning ordinance amendments. The scheduling preserves opportunity for public input before any action to adopt changes.
