Highway staff reported routine summer work and a pending truck delivery to the Tinmouth Selectboard on July 10.
According to staff, "The new truck is in at Lucky's" for dealer preparation; staff said the truck body is being built separately and warranty/assembly timelines depend on the vendor (Viking) completing the body. Crew members described ongoing mowing, cold patching, gravel delivery and ditching work and said delays are caused by supply and body-build backlogs. Members asked staff to confirm delivery terms in writing.
Board members also discussed whether the town should accept delivery at the dealer or have the unit delivered directly to the town shop, and whether the town should insure the vehicle at delivery if the body is not yet mounted. Staff said they will get written confirmation from dealer/sales staff and report back to the board.
