Community Fund reports about $25,000 in grants; fund to help finance pavilion

Todd Dennis, representing the Community Fund, told the Select Board the fund awards scholarships and small grants each year and draws proceeds from the Tinmouth plant sale and donations. "We give out continuing education scholarships, small business awards, and community fund grant awards and camp scholarships for K through 12 students every year," he said, and estimated the committee made roughly 25 awards totaling close to $25,000 this year.
Board members and the Community Fund representative said the fund's reserve and recent donations are intended to support the pavilion project; Gail stated the Community Fund is "spearheading all of the financing for the pavilion to be built." Members discussed using reserve dollars to meet grant‑matching requirements and noted more detailed financial updates will follow as the fundraising and grant process advance.
The board thanked the Community Fund for fundraising work and asked the committee to keep the Select Board informed about grant timing and any requests for formal action or town budget support.
