Henry County treasurer reports 95% collection rate for 2025 real estate taxes

Treasurer Tiffanie S. Hairston presented the Board with the county's monthly delinquent-tax update, saying, “95.05% of 2025 real estate taxes and 88.99% of 2025 personal property taxes had been collected.” She told supervisors that since Jan. 1, 2026, the tax-collection contractor TACS has collected approximately $642,778.58 and that Vehicle Registration Withholding stops yielded 232 VRW collections in April and 184 in May 2026.
Board members did not take action on the report but received it as part of routine oversight of county revenues. The figures provide an early-year snapshot the county will use to refine revenue projections and budget planning for FY2027.
