Judy Gilmore urged the group to "at least look at these a little bit" and to consider adding scenic-resources language to the plan.
During the discussion, Vito raised a concern that the tower applicant may have been aware of an endangered plant in a gravel pit and did not disclose the information to landowners or the town. Vito said he wanted to know "when the state of Vermont said there was a plant that was an endangered species in that area" and whether that information predated the tower proposal. Commissioners directed RPC to review the application filings (engineer reports, DEC correspondence) to establish the factual timeline and determine whether relevant information was available to the applicant or landowners at the time of application.
