City Clerk‑Treasurer Dee H. Blackmon reported June 22 that the City is reorganizing and digitizing its filing system through an electronic indexing program intended to consolidate records, improve storage efficiency and expand digital scanning and retention.
Blackmon also told the Council that the FY2025 audit is underway and is expected to be completed more efficiently than the previous audit year. The report included plans to enhance electronic backup systems to modernize records management.
