Skamania board accepts bus driver resignation and offers contract to candidate

At the Dec. 18 meeting the Skamania School Board accepted the resignation of bus driver Amanda Nguyen. Lisa Young moved to accept Nguyen’s resignation and Donald Collins seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also voted to offer a contract to James Winters for the bus driver position, pending his successful completion of final exams and behind-the-wheel training. Mr. Dennison said Winters completed in-class training and will begin behind-the-wheel training this week, with plans to ride along with the current driver, Mrs. Nolan, during the first week after winter break.
