Superintendent reports GaGa ball pit installed; Mount Pleasant may join food program

Superintendent Milt Dennison told trustees that the GaGa ball pit is installed and that paraeducator staff received training on the game's rules and safety on Oct. 16.
Dennison also said Mount Pleasant School District has expressed interest in joining Skamania's food program in the spring, but that several logistical questions remain and must be resolved before any expansion occurs. Chairman Donald Collins, reporting on the budget, stated, "The overall budget appears to be in order."
Instructional Program lead Katie Chavarria told the board that a program review is scheduled for November, parent-teacher conferences are set for Oct. 28–Nov. 1, and ASB elections recently occurred; students have shown enthusiasm for student government and fundraising activities.
