Science kits ordered for most elementary grades; extra kits deferred to next year
Summary
Instructional staff reported that science kits for K, 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th grades have been ordered and are expected to arrive on Wednesday the 21st; kits for grades 2, 6 and 8 will be purchased next year.
Katie Chavarria told the board that science kits have been ordered for kindergarten, first, third, fourth, fifth and seventh grades and are due to arrive on Wednesday the 21st. Extra kits for second, sixth and eighth grades will be purchased the following year.
Chavarria also reported that instructors are finishing training in conscious discipline, furniture appears sufficient for classrooms, and teachers and paraeducators have their schedules set for the upcoming school year. The update was delivered as a report; no board action was recorded during the meeting.
