The Selectboard discussed the current status of the town Conservation Commission, which the minutes state currently has no active members. Shawna Batogowski said she contacted the Vermont League of Cities and Towns (VLCT), and Staff Attorney Carl Andeer advised that the town may disband the commission using the same process by which it was created or appoint new members if it wishes to continue the commission.
The board decided to take time to clarify the commission's goals and purpose before making new appointments and assigned Shawna Batogowski to research the issue further and report back at a future meeting. The minutes indicate the topic will be added to a future agenda for follow-up.
