Jeff Yrsha, the town's Road Foreman, told the Selectboard the road crew has been focused on debris cleanup after a recent ice storm and will begin grading and repairing potholes on dirt roads once snowfall ends.
Yrsha said he has acquired an excavator and will provide the related purchase paperwork to the town. He also reported that the 2022 small truck is not functioning properly and requires servicing. Board members asked for more background on the candidate for the Road Foreman position; Linda Saarnijoki and Katie Fitzpatrick asked Shawna Batogowski to request a cover letter or resume from the applicant.
The discussion established next steps for equipment documentation and hiring: Yrsha to submit excavator paperwork and staff to collect applicant materials for review at a future meeting.
