USD 506 board accepts 2022–2023 audit; longtime auditor to retire

Daryl Eagon presented the USD 506 audit for the 2022–2023 school year at the July 8 meeting and the board voted to accept the report. Dr. Kolette Smith moved to approve the audit report; Justin Bebb seconded and the motion carried 6–0.
Mr. Eagon told the board he will retire this year and said Amanda Lancaster of the firm Diehl, Banwart and Bolton will take over auditing duties. The board approved Lancaster as the district’s auditor during the same series of action items. The motions passed unanimously and the minutes record the personnel transition alongside the accepted audit findings.
