Selectboard reviews multiple road and safety updates including speed signage and bridge condition

The Selectboard discussed a cluster of highway issues Nov. 4: moving a speed sign on Morgan Horse Farm Road, complaints about unpaved culvert work (paving expected in about two weeks), enforcement actions on Sheep Farm Road campers, Otter Creek Lane design delays, and a Prunier Road bridge defect described as not unsafe.
On Nov. 4 the Weybridge Selectboard reviewed several highway items and local safety concerns. A resident asked that the speed sign be returned to the hill above Pine Ridge Lane Road because speeding motorists are a problem; Selectboard member Matt Broughton said he will move another sign. Residents also complained that culvert replacement work has not yet been paved over; the board estimated about two weeks before pavement will be finished.
Matt Broughton reviewed a complaint about the Prunier Road bridge, saying some side concrete has broken off but that “the bridge is not unsafe.” The board reported that residents on Sheep Farm Road have been given a time limit and fines for noncompliance with town regulations about living in campers. Engineers are still producing designs for Otter Creek Lane, leaving that item open for future action. The board also agreed to borrow Cornwall's leaf blower for ditch work and to switch fuel suppliers to Champlain Valley Fuels.
