Selectboard approves 10% local match to pursue town plan grant update

Gale Hurd, representing the Planning Committee, told the board that Weybridge’s town plan was last updated in 2019 and that the committee wants to begin a formal update now. Hurd said the update is estimated to cost about $19,000 and that the town needs to include a 10% local match. "We need to put into the budget the 10% ($2000.00) the Town is responsible for," Hurd said.
Selectboard member Bill Mayers moved to earmark the 10% match for the grant application; Charlie Jordan seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board noted the payment would not be due until 2027 and that the Planning Committee will recruit new members; interested residents were asked to contact Jeff Olson, Planning Committee chair.
