The Weybridge Selectboard voted unanimously on Nov. 4 to buy a used 2009 grader priced at $69,000. Stacey Rainey moved to approve the purchase using $40,000 from the truck fund and $16,000 from the paving account; Bill Mayers seconded and the motion passed without dissent.
According to the board’s discussion, the purchase will be paid out of the General Fund with a trade-in allowance of $13,000 for the town’s 1987 grader. The board debated funding sources during the meeting and settled on the combination of truck and paving-account transfers to cover part of the cost. The action was recorded as a formal motion and vote.
