"Is this the Verizon site?" Neese asked. A township official confirmed the Verizon lot is included in the area under consideration but said the resolution before the committee designates the site as an area in need of redevelopment — it does not approve a redevelopment plan. Officials repeatedly told Neese that the full paperwork is public and available at Town Hall for review.
Neese also asked how many acres the designation covers; the committee said it did not have the exact acreage in hand during the meeting and encouraged the public to view the documents at Town Hall during business hours. Legal counsel clarified that the committee's action was to approve the resolution and that subsequent steps are handled by the construction official; the counsel said the resolution did not go to Superior Court and did not need to.
The committee proceeded with the agenda and scheduled no further public hearing on the matter during this meeting; residents were advised to review the documents at Town Hall for full details.
