Henry County treasurer reports collection gains for 2025 taxes

County Treasurer Tiffany Harrison reported on delinquent-tax collections at the July 28 meeting. As of June 30, 2026, the county had collected 89.02% of 2025 personal-property taxes and 95.28% of 2025 real-estate taxes. Harrison told the board the office collected $80,415.99 in personal-property collections and $75,769.58 in real-estate collections during the month.
She also reported total TACS (Taxing Authority Consultant Services) collections since June 30 of $724,165.88 and year-to-date debt-setoff collections of $241,425.59. Harrison explained the county uses DMV 'stops' as a collection tool for delinquent personal-property taxes and that June removals accounted for 453 stops lifted in the month.
