Harvey County approves Health Department fee schedule for 2026 and adopts OAA area plan

The Board of Harvey County Commissioners on Dec. 16 approved the Harvey County Health Department’s 2026 fee schedule, which adjusts charges to better reflect supply costs and staff time. Health Department Director Lynnette Redington presented the proposed schedule and commissioners voted to adopt it effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Commissioners also approved the Kansas Department on Aging and Disability Services FY2026 Older Americans Act (OAA) Area Plan for the Central Plains Area Agency on Aging (CPAAA). Department of Aging Director Lona Kelly noted that CPAAA programs helped residents reduce prescription costs by $164,007 during the open enrollment period; the board voted to approve the OAA area plan unanimously.
