Harvey County Commissioners on Dec. 16 unanimously approved Resolution 2025‑32, which raises tipping and special‑waste fees at the county transfer station and construction & demolition landfill beginning Jan. 1, 2026.
Solid Waste Director Justin Bland told the commission the change reflects a $1 per‑ton increase in the municipal solid waste tipping fee charged by Reno County and adds a $20 per‑item charge for refrigeration units. Commissioners adopted the resolution by voice vote, with Vice‑Chairman Terry Scott seconding Becky Reimer’s motion.
County staff said the fee adjustments also update special‑waste and bulk‑styrofoam rates and that the Solid Waste Director will track third‑party disposal costs — for example, tires — and post any interim rate changes at the transfer station. The resolution will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.
