Mayor Wagman temporarily relinquished moderation of the item to Mayor Pro Tem Annie Thombs while the council considered the motion; Councilmember Scott Neisler made the motion to investigate, seconded by Councilmember Jay Rhodes.
City Attorney Mickey Corry told the council the complaint will follow the same procedures used in the complaint filed against Councilmember Neisler and that "the investigations will be completed by Pat Flanagan under the existing contract between the City and Cranfill Sumner." Council did not take further public action on the merits of the complaint; the vote authorized only that an investigation begin. The council's action was a procedural step to initiate the statutorily authorized investigatory process.
