The Lancaster City Council approved a $20,000 budget amendment requested by the Millbrook East Public Improvement District to move funds from its fund balance into operations for special events and maintenance for fiscal year 2026.
"The PID is requesting to move $20,000 from fund balance into their operating expenditure accounts for the purpose of continuing their special events as well as some community engagement opportunities," the city manager said. The manager added the PID advisory board submitted documentation and that the transfer follows the required notification and approval steps for moving reserve funds into operating accounts.
A council member asked whether PID members had been properly notified; staff said the advisory board had made the request and included it in its letter from the chief operating officer. The motion to approve the budget amendment passed by voice vote.
