Residents press Brooks County commissioners to address Encino road conditions

Elisa Torres and Gregory Sharp spoke during the public-comment portion of the special Commissioners' Court meeting in the Brooks County Courthouse. The visitors asked the court to visit Encino to see the condition of local roads and trees. In response, County Judge Eric Ramos informed the court that "an agenda item will be placed on the next agenda to further discuss this issue," directing that the matter receive follow-up consideration by the commissioners.
The exchange concluded without a formal action during the special meeting; Ramos’s commitment schedules the topic for a future regular agenda so the commissioners can consider possible repairs, tree work, or funding needs. The court took no vote on the road repairs at the Dec. 6 session.
