Commissioners approved the Proposed FY 26/27 Budget after Executive Director Scott Waite said the agency had submitted the proposal to the county and was awaiting county guidance on some internal cost lines. Waite told the commission that most expense categories remained stable but that food costs were expected to rise to cover parent advisory meetings, grantee quarterly meetings and additional staff events. The commission approved the budget 6–0.
Waite said staff considered bidding out the Children Summit this year to reduce costs and that, where exact county charges are unknown, staff used best available estimates. Commissioner Cindie Dibblee moved to approve the budget and Commissioner Kimiko Vang seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
