The commission authorized staff to negotiate and enter into a contract with the Merced County Office of Education (MCOE) to continue the IMPACT Legacy Project after the state extended the original four-year award by two years. Executive Director Scott Waite said the state had added two years to the project timeframe and that staff had been waiting for contracts to be approved before proceeding.
No public comment was made on the item. Commissioner John Ceccoli moved to approve authorization for contract negotiation and Commissioner Eva de Long seconded; the motion carried 6–0.
