County approves preventive HVAC agreement for Animal Care & Control at $4,485 per year

County Administrator Jim Grafton said Precision Air’s preventive maintenance agreement will handle quarterly checks and necessary cleaning on the three ground units and rooftop equipment at Animal Care & Control; "it is $1,495 per quarter or $4,485 per year," he said. The committee approved the contract by voice vote.
Grafton explained the Animal Care & Control units need more frequent cleaning because they draw in pet hair, which clogs units and reduces efficiency. Committee members asked clarifying questions about whether inspections include cleaning and whether service calls would generate extra charges; Grafton confirmed inspections and cleaning are included and that service calls would be billed separately.
