The Williamstown Cemetery Commission opened its Nov. 21 meeting at 7:10 p.m. and unanimously approved the minutes from Oct. 24, 2024 after a motion from Commissioner Orvil Lasell and a second from Commissioner Matt Walker.
The commission reviewed a Budget Status Report and a Cemetery Project Reserve Fund report dated Nov. 20, 2024. The minutes record warrants paid totaling $7,825.00: Kirkyard Services mowing contract Inv. 2182 for $5,125.00; Kirkyard Inv. #2176 (burial/R. Collins) for $350.00; and REM Construction LLC Inv. #2629 for $2,350.00 for Village Cemetery driveway work. The meeting also noted a $400.00 income payment for one burial (R. Collins) that arrived after the report was printed.
The review was procedural and no substantive changes to the budget were made at the meeting. The commission kept the warrant and reserve-fund figures on the record and moved on to several operational items on the agenda.
