The Soap Lake City Council approved a consultant agreement with Jeffrey (Jeff) Balentine to provide finance and administrative services on Aug. 21.
The approved scope includes preparing the city’s annual financial report for the State Auditor’s Office, monitoring and preparing the annual budget, processing payroll and submitting quarterly and annual payroll reports, and assisting monthly bank and accounting system reconciliations and reporting. Councilmember Carlson moved the agreement and Councilmember Carson seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
