Commission approves February minutes; several items tabled and next meeting set

At its March 12 meeting the Commission approved the February 12, 2026 meeting minutes by a unanimous vote (5-0, 3 absent) after a motion by Commissioner Crystal Thomas and a second by Commissioner Victor Lesa.
The Commission tabled Item 6A (2024 Hawai‘i Housing Planning Study: Special Needs Housing and Maui Island Impacts) and Item 7 (Maui County Aging and Disability Resource Center report). Members were reminded that the current term concludes this month; nominations for the Outstanding Older Americans Award are open until March 31, 2026. The next regular meeting is scheduled for April 9, 2026 at 12:30 pm.
