Toby Stewart, Community Development Director, presented PL 26‑15 for the Thomas and Katherine Living Trust, which owns a 284± acre AG‑80 parcel southwest of SE 210th St. and SE Sunflower Rd. The Trust requested a 10± acre lot to build a home and to place approximately 70 acres into an Agricultural Preservation Overlay; the property is outside the Urban Growth Area and is surrounded by AG‑80 parcels. Staff reported the new lot would use private well and wastewater systems and Evergy would provide electricity. The Planning Commission recommended approval 6‑0.
Commissioner Darren Jackson moved to approve PL 26‑15 and Commissioner Dan Woydziak seconded; the motion carried 4‑0.
