Commissioner Mitch Damon proposed that expanding sewer service to between one and eight additional customers could eventually increase revenue, but he cautioned that payback might take up to 15 years. Damon asked for justification for canceling the Meadow Street project (if the commission chose to reroute) and whether a new line should be 2-inch or 6-inch where it crosses under the railroad.
The commission tasked Matt Belden with developing a cost-benefit analysis spreadsheet to compare options, estimate revenues, and weigh the environmental sensitivity of the Pentecost drainage area. Bee Jacque raised concern about the frail Meadow Street water line if the project is deferred for reengineering.
