Asheville Archery team asks county to route support through school system for equipment

She asked the county to consider routing support through the school system: checks can be made to Asheville High School with a memo specifying the archery program to ensure the funds go to the club.
Commissioners said the county can accept requests via a superintendent’s letter and then route funds to the school system for the intended program. Chair (speaker 3) and staff advised Thompson to secure a formal request from the school board or superintendent so the commission can act at a future meeting.
