County to vote Tuesday on Springville paving and Sprayberry Road pipe replacement

Clay Phillips said the Springville agreement — originally discussed months earlier and signed by Springville’s council — specifies a county contribution of $12,450 and a Springville contribution of $3,922.50 for ball‑field parking lot paving. “That is correct, sir,” Phillips said when confirming the figures; staff asked the commission to vote to record and sign the agreement at Tuesday’s meeting.
On Sprayberry Road, staff described a failing corrugated metal pipe beginning to cave in; the plan calls for two 20‑foot sections (40 feet total) and upsizing from a 48‑inch pipe to 60–68‑inch to better handle future development. Phillips gave a combined project figure (two figures combined to approximately $22,000) and recommended proceeding. Commissioners directed staff to place both items on Tuesday’s agenda.
