Birch Creek fields set to go to bid; RAMP funding covers majority of project

City staff reported the Birch Creek soccer fields project is ready for bid and is expected to begin construction in early spring after procurement. Anscombe said the city requested $193,000 from RAMP; he gave a project figure of $323,060, leaving a city share of roughly $136,000 before including AYSO and other contributions.
"We got a $193,000 from RAMP to do it. The project cost is $323.06, leaves us a 136 from the city, but I know AYSO gave at least 20," Anscombe said. He added that minor bid clarifications remain and that the project should go to bid later this winter with construction starting in March.
Council members asked about matching funds and timing; staff said bids will likely be solicited in early spring and that in-kind and partner contributions have reduced the cash match burden for the city.
