EDC approves $2,500 sponsorship for Sharing Life food pantry gala

The Balch Springs Industrial and Economic Development Corporation approved a marketing sponsorship of up to $2,500 for the Sharing Life annual gala, which staff said supports the local food pantry and provides limited marketing exposure for the EDC.
Chris (S6) presented the opportunity and said the sponsorship would provide 10 tickets and display the EDC logo at the gala. "Staff is recommending approval of this marketing sponsorship not to exceed $2,500," he said. The board clarified the event date (Aug. 14) and learned the Sharing Life representative could not attend the meeting.
A motion to approve funding for the Sharing Life Annual Gala sponsorship was made and seconded; the board voted to pass the motion. Staff offered to coordinate ticket distribution for board members who wish to attend.
