New branch libraries at G.B. Daniels and Sears rec centers open with laptop kiosks, remote hold pickup

Miss Hammer, a library staff member, told the board the library held ribbon-cutting events for the G.B. Daniels and Sears Recreation Center branch libraries on April 22 and said the openings were well attended by the community. "They're really, really well done, and I think they're a great addition to the communities," she said.
Hammer outlined service details: branch hours will be Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and closed Sundays. Recreation-center hours differ; the centers will be open some evenings and weekend hours so patrons can pick up holds from remote lockers when the library itself is closed. She also said the branches will offer 12 laptops at kiosk stations for short-term checkout, plus printing and copying services. The libraries will partner with Parks and Rec to co-host story times and shared programs.
Hammer invited board members and the public to visit the new locations and offered personal tours on request.
