The Abilene Library Board approved the minutes from its Feb. 9, 2026 meeting and recommended approval of pending book orders during its regular meeting.
The chair put the minutes to a motion and, after a second and brief discussion, called for a voice vote. "The motion carries," the chair said after the vote. The board also noted the library had received no online comments regarding the pending book orders and voted to recommend approval; the chair said the board’s recommendation will go to the library director to oversee completion of the order.
The meeting included a standing agenda item on acquisitions; the board did not request additional information or amendments before forwarding its recommendation. No members of the public spoke during the public comment period.
