Presenters urge council to repurpose vacant library for X Dot Prep Academy

Parent and advisory-board member Rachel King described the program's "Abilene Project," a curriculum that treats the city as a classroom and asks seniors to present venture blueprints to local leaders. Proponents said the school would provide downtown activation and new learning opportunities; no council vote was taken at this meeting, and the proposal will appear on an upcoming agenda for further consideration.
